Counter Trey is a difficult run to stop because of the natural angles in the blocking scheme and the downhill attack. Add a little bit of deception in the backfield and the defense will have a hard time maintaining their run fits. Counter trey with jet motion is a great wrinkle because of the split flow action and the horizontal stress that it puts on the defense.

LG | Down block on the Nose with help from the LT |

RG | Pull and kick out the DE |
RT | Wrap inside the RG for the PSB |
A | Fast motion and sell sweep |
QB | Bring A in motion. Ball needs to be called up by the time he gets to the LT. Punch Sweep fake and get to the Mesh |
RB | Counter step to the right to sell sweep and then come back to the mesh point |

LT | Down Block on the Nose looking to climb to BSB |
LG | Down block on the Nose with help from the LT |
C | Down block on the DT |
RG | Pull and kick out the DE |
RT | Wrap inside the RG for the PSB |
A | Fast motion and then into the flat at the LOS to 1 yard. |
QB | Bring A in motion. Ball needs to be called up by the time he gets to the LT. Punch Sweep fake and get to the Mesh. Read the BSDE and if it’s a pull then keep and get eyes on 2nd read (Alley player). Throw it into the flat or tuck and run. |
